Solar PV Computer Lab
Location: Idjwi, Congo
GPEKS conducted a feasibility study for the construction of a solar-powered computer lab on the island of Idjwi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The island is completely without a central power grid. The PV-powered lab would bring access to computers to students at the University of Idjwi. It would also supply a reliable source of lighting to enable work after dark without the use expensive, noisy, and polluting gasoline generators.
